Hi! and welcome to John and Marilen's home page
We live in Brisbane Australia, and own and operate a small engineering business called RADIUS BENDERS which manufactures and markets a variety of products.
We also have other business interests in Letterbox
Man
and Brisbane Powdercoaters.
In addition to our business interests, we enjoy the lifestyle and natural bushland setting of our 6000 square metre property just outside Brisbane. The property is often frequented by koalas and many other species of Australian wildlife, especially birds.
We lead an active life as members of the Baha'i Faith and are always involved with one project or another. Marilen, who comes from the Philippines is active with helping many Filipino families and friends as well.
Marilen comes from Manila in the Philippines and migrated to Australia in 1987, after spending three years in Hawaii and other Pacific Islands. John comes from Hobart, Tasmania and lived in Queenstown, Melbourne, Ballarat, and Perth before moving to Samoa in 1969. After eight years in both Western and American Samoa, seven years in Fiji and three years in Hawaii he returned to Australia in 1987. John and Marilen were married in September 1989. John has three children, Meryle, Denise and Justin, and we have
five grandchildren, Josephene, Sunil, Nathan, Yoshine and Tushan.
Our interests are varied, the love of and service to humanity being foremost. We like music and "things" of a practical nature such as gardening, sewing, mechanics, furniture restoration, and photography. We are interested in new ideas, concepts and inventions, and of course computers. John has tried to keep up with the technology from his first Tandy TRS80 back in 1978, but it is moving so fast that it is difficult to do so.
